Fire Extinguisher Training

This year the embedded software lab team participated in a fire extinguisher training for the first time. The goal on the one hand was to learn proper extinguisher usage and on the one hand to give some intuition about how to attack a fire most effectively.

After a theoretical briefing about how to behave in case of an emergency at the university we practiced attacking a class-B fire (burning liquid) using several types of CO2 extinguishers (left picture). The right picture shows a powder-based extinguisher. Altogether, the training got us a lot of helpful (and maybe lifesafing) information and apart from that was much fun.
