Wintercolloqium 2013
The winter colloquium of the Chair of Computer Science 11 takes place from March 17th 2013 until March 24th 2013. In the idyllic Kleinwalsertal, contemporary research results of the scientific staff were internally presented and debated. Further, scientific strategies and improvements of the internal information management were discussed.
Fire Extinguisher Training
This year the embedded software lab team participated in a fire extinguisher training for the first time. The goal on the one hand was to learn proper extinguisher usage and on the one hand to give some intuition about how to attack a fire most effectively.
After a theoretical briefing about how to behave in case of an emergency at the university we practiced attacking a class-B fire (burning liquid) using several types of CO2 extinguishers (left picture). The right picture shows a powder-based extinguisher.
Altogether, the training got us a lot of helpful (and maybe lifesafing) information and apart from that was much fun.
Summercolloquium of the Chair of Computer Science 11
The Summercolloquium of our chair takes place in Schmidt at the Rursee from 29-08-12 until 31-08-12. The current research results are presented and discussed by the Research assistants. Another important point on the agenda is the discussion of contents and stategies in teaching methods. We are looking forward to a successful meeting.
